Remake of We Are the World to premiere February 12 during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics

Producers are now putting the final touches on the remake of We Are the World, remake of the well known song done 25 years ago in response to a famine in Africa. 25 years later once again some of the most well known voices in the industry come together in benefit of Haiti. The cast of stars are to include Usher, Natalie Cole, The Jonas Brothers, Pink, and more who will lend their voice in an effort to raise more money for Haiti which is now experiencing severe after shocks after the devastating earthquake that has taken the lives of more than 170,000 people.

Haiti native, Wyclef Jean will be among the more than 70 stars, most of them hip hop artists who went straight to work the day after the Grammy's to complete the recording. No cameras were allowed in the vicinity as the project has managed to remain in a shroud of secrecy. The contemporary version of the song will be available via online and traditional retailers and all proceeds will go directly to earthquake relief.
